Road Tripping for Gavvy

So it is now a proven fact that you have not officially lived until you go to a concert and post so many videos on your snapchat stories that you just know that all your snap-friends are annoyed, but you are completely content because hey, Gavin Degraw (aka. Gavvy) is literally 50 feet in front of you and that is like, omg.
So about a month and a half ago I was sitting in my nursing research class and felt my phone vibrate with a new email. I had to read the email twice and even a third time before I could comprehend what it was saying; at first I was like this has to be a prank, like some kind of mad joke.
My sister and I had entered this contest online to win tickets for Gavin Degraw's (& Andy Grammer's) show in Charlotte.  Just for kicks, I decided to enter the contest drawing for Andy Grammer tickets as well, just to increase our chances of winning the tickets to see Gavvy.  Well, of course, despite our 1 in 6 chance of winning concert and meet & greet tickets to see Gavvy, we did not get them.
Back to my day in research class -- So I opened up the email and it read: Hey Elizabeth, You won 1st place in the raffle to win 2 tickets to see Andy Grammer.  Apparently the person who had originally won them never claimed their tickets, so as long as I claimed them, they were mine.
I swallowed my excitement for about 2.4 seconds and then jumped up and rushed out of class to call my sister and celebrate.
Literally the best thing that happened that whole week and probably that first half of my semester.
We were going to see Gavv.
Fast forward to this weekend.
I was slightly worried that this whole 'win tickets online' thing was a scam and that when I walked up to the box office and told them I had won tickets and showed them my picture id that they would just start laughing in my face and tell me I drove all the way to Charlotte for no reason.
Well, fortunately, it was not a scam and I even have the physical tickets to prove it.

My foot is pretty sore {from standing and dancing probably more crazy that anyone else at the concert}, my throat is scratchy and I have replayed my annoying snapchat story (#sorrynotsorry) like five times just to hear myself screaming in the background.

Thx Andy, for the tix and a pretty rad night.
xoxo

Go do something you enjoy; go do something that you don't normally do -- like drive home at 2 AM from a rlly rad concert.
Because this is how you survive - this is how you THRIVE through nursing school.
