The Struggle with Graduations

This week was filled with activities running into the next activities.  From actual running with my new running buddy to sisterly piano recitals and cuz-gradutaions, this week has been pleasantly eventful.
Thursday night entailed my favorite sister's piano recital.  She was the BOMB like usual and played one of my favorites: "Rosemary's Song" from The Giver
Cake and DQ icecream were on the list later that night; I said no, but not entirely.

Friday was the next day on the list, which included sister-gym time, sister-mall time, sister-and-oma time, and then sister-drive-down-to-Wilmington-and-hang-out-in-downtown-Wilmington-for-a-little-while-before-Zack's-gradutation time. Alexandra brought me to a cute little restaurant in downtown for an early dinner: Chop's Deli.  This place features different sandwiches which contains meats, cheeses, and fresh veggies; of course, they have salads too, so go ahead and guess what I got. . .

As always, Alexandra forced me to try some of her sandwich which was "just so good," which, indeed, I do have to agree.  I mean, banana peppers!? Please, that is a whole other level of delish.  Too bad Alexandra was really hungry, or I would have 'tasted' her pickle as well.
We moved on to some window-shopping, then took a detour into 'Port City Java.'  Alexandra, the caramel-macchiato-lover, just had to try their caramel macchiato; you see, she judges coffee shops on how well their macchiato's appeal to her taste buds.  It did a good job on appealing to my taste buds; however, I am boring and I just got a regular coffee with some almond milk.  Just know that when you sacrifice sugar, your taste buds can suffer and/or get jealous of your sister's caramel-macchiato saturated taste buds.
After our cup of coffee (aka. dessert), we headed off to Zack's graduation.  At first Cindy, my GPS, was trying to take me on a road that was under construction.  After complaining and figuring out my own way, we made it onto the road that Cindy was aiming for, and successfully found the school where the graduation was taking place!
The graduation was great! Zack was Salutatorian which means he was blessed with the opportunity of speech-giving at the ceremony.  Later, as he was walking across the stage, a few of us family members hooted and hollered his name; we just couldn't hold our excitement in! (P.S. I got it on video.)
What I like about his school's graduation ceremonies are the tables they have set up for each graduate in the reception hall after graduation.  Families come early before graduation and help setup the tables for their graduate; the only think I hated (but not really) about Zack's table was the M&Ms bowl that my had kept on finding.

We stayed the night at my Aunt and Uncle's house so we didn't have to drive back home then back down for Zack's graduation party the next day.  It is always nice to spend time with my Wilmy family, even though the next day(s) are spent working off my food guilt and eating nothing but fruits and veggies!

Nursing countdown: 35 days 'till first day
Fatty Update: The fatty in my is trying something new.  I have started weightlifting more often and slightly higher intensity while containing cardio days to about 2-3 days.  I will also be trying out some different detox water recipes; thanks, Mackenzie for giving me the idea to start trying it out!

Cong~RATS Zachary! Excited to see what the future holds for all the Class of 2015! But remember to enjoy it, 'cause the future seems to be coming faster and faster!
