Life can sometimes be beautiful, right?
Of course, it can seem like a disaster in the midst of an acute panic attack or a depression episode, but sometimes life is beautiful.

This Wednesday, my life was beautiful. I am not one to become overwhelmed by my birthday because I am not one to get overwhelmed by mounds of attention. So here's to living in the foreground of the background with 21 candles in the middle of the health science building after a psychiatric nursing lecture.

Just as I have said before, I am thankful for the people which with God has blessed my life. God has gifted me such a wonderful group of nursing family, and because of them, this year's birthday was definitely one to remember, and it wasn't just because I had a full day of classes!

This semester hasn't been the best, but I am thankful that I have a group of pals {aka. the fam} who will
sit with me and cry with me
and drink coffee with me until we are caffeine-intoxicated
and will talk about boys with me
and will talk about school with me
and will encourage me to let loose and have fun
and will make me birthday cake and not judge me when I eat it as my lunch
and will car-pool with me
and who will always be there for me no matter what.
God blessed me when he gave me you and I am so happy that I get to walk through this crazy thing called nursing school with you.
Just wait for that early-May morning where we scream as we walk across that stage dressed in a black cap & gown and get our diploma {holder}.
Why yes indeed, sometimes life can be beautiful.
