Ending the Semester with a Bang

This past week, my second to last semester of undergraduate nursing school officially ended -- and it ended with a bang, literally.
After two presentations and two final exams, I journeyed to a land {not too} far away to trade warmth for freezing fingers and deer stand sittings. After three hunts which yielded no bagged deer, both my father and I were able to bag a doe.  Long story short, these two does were nothing less than earned as we tracked blood for quite a time, getting 'lost' {but not really} in the woods in the dark.  It was nothing less than a blast to bond with my dad, but we were happy when the night was finally over and we could sleep cuddly in our warm beds.

Additionally, one of my very best friends graduated from undergrad this past weekend.  She is a hardworking and beautiful soul and seeing her walk across the stage and receive her 'diploma' gave me chills.
It sparked excitement in my heart, realizing that we are growing up and becoming college graduates!
Thinking to my future, I am excited to walk across the graduation stage as well - I have worked harder than I ever thought I would have to work for my future graduation day, and reflecting on the determination I never thought was in me increases my thankfulness to God for His strength he bestowed upon me.
Happy graduation to the class of 2016, an especially to my lovely cousin.

Thankful for my nursing family, who never fails to show me love and who continues to emphasizes the determination within my soul. Around you, I always feel safe and accepted and know that this career, nursing, is where we all belong.  Thankful for your friendship, you souls, your smiles and laughs and jokes, and deeply emotional conversations. You guys have helped get me through nursing school this far.
Here is to one more semester filled with care plans, tears, but most importantly, your constant companionship which, I hope, lead to life long friendships.
Thankful for your lovely souls.
